Once again this year I attended Coventry's annual 3 day free music festival featuring this year, amongst other bands, The Boomtown Rats, The Charlatans and Scouting for Girls.

Was very pleased and excitedto be invited down to Palmer Sport for an exhausting day of driving 8 different types of cars, from a Land Rover on a 4x4 course at scary angles to a Formula 3000, full on single seater race car.

This weekend an arts and music festival has been organised in the ruins of the old Coventry Cathedral which was bombed in the war and sits right next to the new Coventry Cathedral.

We popped down to Brighton last week for a couple of days to see a band, Lake Street Dive, who were playing at the Komedia on Monday night.
World Endurance Cars
I spent a great day at Silverstone Racing Circuit last Sunday. It was the first round in the 2016 World Endurance Cars series. The 6 hour race saw over 30 cars on track split into four different classes, so effectively four races in one.

Went down to London during the week to attend Xerocon, the annual conference hosted by cloud based accounts software company Xero.
Open Mic
Our local Sunday afternoon Open Mic has moved from our pub to a bar in the centre of Coventry.
The three of us who normally turned up when it was within walking (staggering) distance went along to the first Sunday at the new venue to support the talented local musician Kristy Gallacher who organises and hosts it.

The power and magic of social media
The connections made via social media are fast and wide ranging as well as often very interesting.
Yesterday we went for a meal at a restaurant called ‘Street’. I took a photo inside the restaurant with my phone, as you do, and put it on their Foursquare account after a quick edit in Snapseed.
